New Delhi. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, has donated Rs 151 crore to the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai. Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani attended a special ceremony organized for the release of ‘Divine Scientist’ of Professor MM Sharma in ICT and attended the program for more than three hours.

The Reliance chairman said, “When Professor Sharma says something to us, we only listen and implement it. When he said to me – ‘Mukesh, you have to do something big for ICT’, then I took this decision (151 crore donations). I am very happy to announce.”

Shared memories related to Professor Sharma

Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani, while sharing his memories, said that Professor Sharma’s first lecture in UDCT proved to be inspiring in his life. Professor Sharma not only inspired him, but he also became a peaceful craftsman of India’s economic reforms. Only then the Indian industry will be able to compete globally, dependence on imports will decrease and mass production will be possible.

Reliance Chairman said, “Like my father Dhirubhai Ambani, Professor Sharma also had a strong desire to take the Indian industry out of shortage and lead to global leadership.” He further said, “Both these visionary leaders believed that private entrepreneurship with science and technology can together open new doors of prosperity in the country.”
