Sitamarhi There is great news for about two lakh electricity consumers of Muzaffarpur and Sitamarhi districts. Now they are going to get rid of electric eyes and chichouli soon. North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) has approved a large scheme of Rs 16.47 crore for the construction of five new 33kV power lines in both the districts. The tender for this scheme has also been released and the work is going to land soon.
59.5 km long line will be laid
A total of 59.5 km long new lines will be laid under the scheme, which will directly cause relief for consumers. Now there will be neither power failure, nor will you have to wait for hours in the name of fault. Areas like Pupri, Narha Bathnaha, Mahadevpatti, Paru and Fatehabad of Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur will be connected directly to the grid, which will not only improve the power supply, but will also become permanent.

After the implementation of this scheme, the biggest advantage to consumers will be that there will be relief from the problem of frequent electricity. Now the electricity will not be closed for hours when the fault comes. Especially Pupri PSS will get a dual supply system, which will ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity. According to Electrical Superintending Engineer Ajay Ratnakar, this scheme will not only meet the current needs, but has also been prepared keeping in mind the demand for the future.

New lines will be built here
Paru PSS of Muzaffarpur district will be connected to a 10 -km line with Vaishali grid.
Fatehabad PSS will also get a 1.5 km long line from Vaishali grid.
Narha Bathnaha PSS of Sitamarhi will be connected to Sitamarhi grid from the 17 km long line.
A 21 km line from Surasand grid to Pupri PSS will be laid.
A 10 km long line will be built from Mahadevapatti to Sirsia PSS of Parihar.
