Now there will be no leakage of water from the Sevadi Mithadi Dam, due to which the water that was wasted will now be made available to the farmers. After many years, now the irrigation department has completed the repair work of Mori Gate of Sevadi Mithadi Dam. For the last two years, this gate was damage, which needed to be repaired. This time, after the repair made before the monsoon, now the rains will not only fill the dam, but the farmers will also get enough water for irrigation. The Sevadi Mithdi Dam is considered to be the most important water source for farmers.
The irrigation department has completed the repair of Mori Gate of Sevadi Mithadi Dam. This work is done after 2 years. This work was done under the leadership of Assistant Engineer Rohit Chaudhary. The old Mori Gate used to get out of the dam due to malfunction. Water conservation was not being done due to this. The department has now installed the entire new gate. This will stop the drainage of water and water will be safe in the dam.
Important water sources are for farmers
Sevadi is an important water source for the farmers of the Mithdi dam area. This dam provides water for irrigation. The new gate will increase the capacity of the dam. With this, farmers will get enough water for irrigation. This initiative of the irrigation department will benefit the farmers and local people of the area. Thousands will benefit
Out of a total of 92 dams in Pali district, Sevadi Mithadi Dam is in those major water sources, which affects at least 57 villages irrigation. There are 33 villages of Pali and 24 villages of Jalore. About 50000 people are affected due to this dam. Which includes the villages of Pali-Jalore. According to the information, in Pali district, there is irrigation in an area of 38,671 hectares from the water of the dam. These areas are irrigated by many other dams including Sevadi Mithadi.
