Panchayat elections are to be held in 12 districts of Uttarakhand, under which elections will be held in 89 development blocks and 7499 gram panchayats. In this, elections are to be held for 66,418 posts in 12 districts of Uttarakhand, out of which 55,587 posts of Gram Panchayat, 7,499 posts of Pradhan Gram Panchayat, 2,974 posts of Member Area Panchayat and 358 posts of Member Zilla Panchayat are to be held.

A total of 66,418 posts in the state are to be held, for which a total of 8276 polling stations and 10529 polling places have been set up across the state.

First stage

The nomination process will start from June 25. After this, nomination papers will be examined from 29 June to 01 July. After this, the process of withdrawal of nomination on July 2 and then election symbol on 03 July, voting on 10 July and finally the counting of votes will begin on 19 July.

Second stage

Enrollment process from 25-28 June, investigation of nomination papers from 29 June to 01 July, withdrawal of nomination on 2 July and allocation of election symbol on 8 July. This will be followed by voting on 15 July and counting on 19 July.

The counting of both phases will be held on 19 July.

BJP became active as soon as elections were announced

As soon as the three -tier panchayat elections were announced in Uttarakhand, the political party BJP has become active. BJP General Secretary Aditya Kothari says that the party’s complete preparations are there for the election. The government had already made it clear that panchayat elections will be held in July itself. In such a situation, it has become clear once again that the intention of the government was already clear about the Panchayat elections. Now the BJP is going to send its observers to the field soon.

Congress said that elections will be contested with full strength

At the same time, as soon as the dates of panchayat elections in Uttarakhand are announced, Congress State President Karan Mahara says that the election will be fought with full force. The party in -charge for the panchayat elections is in the public among the public, but the BJP has made fun of the panchayat elections from the beginning. On the one hand, while there was a disturbance on reservation from the beginning, however the BJP wants to win the panchayat by doing it, but the Congress will answer it.
