Dhaka, Bangladesh has advised its citizens to avoid travel to India due to new and fast spreading sub -variants of Corona virus. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) of Bangladesh has given this warning at a time when Kovid-19 cases have started increasing in many countries including India. In an official instruction released on Monday, Omikron’s new variants – LF.7, XFG, JN.1 and NB.1.8.1 have been said to spread rapidly. These variants have recently been identified in India and other neighboring countries.
The port officials have also been instructed to investigate passengers through thermal scanner and digital thermometer. Apart from this, adequate arrangements for PPE kits, masks and gloves have been asked in hospitals. This warning came at a time when a patient died of Kovid in Bangladesh last week.
