Dhubri tension latest news: Along with West Bengal, many states of North Eastern India borders Bangladesh. Assam’s Dhubri is also located on the international border. There has been a ruckus in the border area Dhubri for the last few days. The atmosphere has become tense due to continuous keeping some wrong things near Hanuman temple. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma himself visited Dhubri. He reviewed the law and order and has ordered the police to take strict steps against the miscreants. The CM of Assam has ordered a shoot-at-sight in view of those who spoiled the situation. He said that a communal group that damages temples in Dhubri is active. The dispute arose when people protested after finding pieces of meat near a temple in Dhubri on Sunday. The miscreants allegedly attacked vegetables and e-rickshaw drivers. On Monday, tear gas shells were fired to disperse the protesters and the movement of people was banned. However, the next day the ban was lifted.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has issued an order of shoot-at-site in Dhubri. He said that a communal group is active in the area which intends to harm temples. Sarma shared the post on X and said, ‘A special group in Dhubri has become active with the intention of harming our temples. We have issued orders to shoot on seeing it. CM Sarma visited Dhubri on 13 June 2025 to review the situation and assured people of full help to the government. He said, “Today (Friday), an order to shoot will be issued soon after reaching Guwahati and anyone who comes out at night or throwing stones will be arrested.” So far 38 such people have been arrested.
