Life affected due to heavy rains in Una

The situation is the worst in the Jhalera region adjoining the Una headquarters. Here rainy water entered petrol pumps, vehicle showrooms, fields and houses, due to which there is a possibility of loss of lakhs of rupees. Local people say that the situation has deteriorated due to lack of timely cleaning of drains and ravines and poor drainage system. Water is passing through the strong flow on the roads, which has made it difficult for people to get out.
Some workers were trapped due to waterlogging in an industrial unit near Nangal-Salangadi. The fire department and the home guard team reached the spot and took out all the workers safely. Ashok Rana, in -charge of the fire department, said that the teams of the department are engaged in relief and rescue work in the affected areas since morning. Complaints of waterlogging and water entering houses have been received in many places, which are being tried to remove.

Most of the rainfall recorded in Una in the state
This time the monsoon has taken a formidable form in the plains of Himachal Pradesh. 67.2 mm of rain was recorded in Una district, which is the highest in the entire state. Due to continuous rains, the roads are flooded and crops standing in the fields are also being affected. Although there is no news of any major loss or loss of life till now, the district administration has appealed to the people to be vigilant.
