Rohtas. The Rohtas District Bus Oner Association has announced that from 12 June 2025, the operation of buses running on all the routes of the district will be closed indefinitely. Association member Ravindra said that this decision has been taken in protest against the orders and arbitrariness of the district administration and the traffic police. He alleged that his buses are being forced to be forced by the traffic police unnecessarily chasing, while all the papers of his vehicles are completely valid. This has created a situation of economic crisis and confusion for the train owners.
He said that according to the order of the administration, operations have been started from the new bus stand near Veda Canal, but the proposed bypass for accessible operations from there is still under construction. Due to this, many important routes including Kochus, Dinara, Bikramganj, Ara, Patna have to go through the city. The result is that passengers are boarding the bus directly from the city, because no alternative stops have been arranged by the administration anywhere in the city, so the common people including bus owners are still facing a lot of trouble.
Bus owners are facing heavy economic losses
Ravindra Singh also told that due to lack of passengers in the constant fine and bus stand, the bus owners are suffering heavy economic losses. It is neither possible for the owners of small level to repay the bank’s loan nor to get regular maintenance of vehicles. In this situation, the association has decided to strike under compulsion and made it clear that no bus in the district will hit the road until the administration rethinks its policy. Due to this, common passengers may face a lot of trouble.
