This is the reason that almost all the major two-wheeler makers are either launching new models in the market or offering their petrol models in the market with electric options. In India, Honda Activa-E (Honda Activa-E) was launched with a price of Rs 1.17 lakh to Rs 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom), Honda Activa E has come to the party for a while. HMSI has ensured that their products look different as it offers a battery swapping system that is currently offering any mainstream electric scooter maker.
Charging is not possible at home
The thing to note is that Activa E cannot be charged at home or at DC charging stations. Only battery swapping is possible. However, it proved expensive for many people as the base BAAS plan started from Rs 1,999, which used to reach 35 kHh per month in basic plan and up to Rs 3,599 per month in advance plan.
Now, Honda has launched a new light plan for Activa E, which is priced at Rs 678, which is up to 20 kWh per month (except for all the plan prices). These BAAS plans apply above the base price of Activa E and battery swapping stations are maintained by Honda Power Energy India, which are being operated only in Bengaluru at the time of writing this article.
Boot space deficiency
Due to its swapable batteries, the boot space under the seat of Activa E is negligible. It gets power from two 1.5 kwh removable battery packs, which promises a range of 102 km once charged. It has a 7-inch instrument cluster which does not have touch support and has all-LED lighting. To promote the sale of its electric scooters, HMSI has inaugurated an EV concept store at Mani Square Mall in Malleshwaram, Bangalore.
