Shimla. Himachal Pradesh cabinet minister Anirudh Singh has been accused. Achal Jindal, the manager of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), has filed a complaint against him at Dhali police station alleging assault. The incident is from Bhattakufar area of Shimla rural area, where fourlane construction work is going on and a five -storey house fell here on Monday. At the moment, a case has been registered.
According to Jindal, on the spot, the minister was being informed about a building falling, which was evacuated on the evening of 29 June. He told the minister that the said building is located at a distance of 30 meters from the Row (Right of Way) of NH and action should be taken as per the notification of the government.
It has also been alleged in the complaint that SDM and other officials were also present at the time of the incident, but no one tried to save. Both the officers saved their lives and reached the IGMC from their car, where they were admitted and their treatment is going on.
Jairam Thakur’s sharp attack
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has termed the incident as embarrassing and law and order failure. He said, “In the presence of the minister of the government, the assault with NHAI officials is extremely condemnable. The Chief Minister should immediately take action against such a minister and dismiss him from the cabinet.” Jairam Thakur also alleged that the administration, police and ministers are trying to suppress the whole matter together. The media is being threatened not to show reports and pressure is also being made on the aggrieved officers.
