New Delhi. The Indian Navy’s first anti-Sabarine Warfare Shalow Water Craft (Warship) ‘Arnala’ is going to join the Navy. This warship will become part of the Indian Navy on Wednesday. While further strengthening the coastal defense capabilities of the Indian Navy, 16 indigenously designed and manufactured anti-Sabarine Warfare Shailo Water Craft Warships are being included in the Navy. The first warship of this series ‘Arnala’ was assigned on 8 May. Now official commissioning will be done under the chairmanship of Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan. This project is an important step towards increasing Indian maritime security capabilities under the ‘Self -reliance Bharat’ campaign.

More than 80 percent indigenous materials

These warships have been produced by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers and Cochin Shipyard Limited. These new vessels will replace the old Abhay-Class Corruption. Built with more than 80 percent indigenous materials, this vessel is a symbol of India’s growing self -reliance and strength of domestic defense industry. According to the Navy, the main objective of these warships is to identify enemy submarines in coastal and shallow marine areas, track and destroy them. These vessels are equipped with modern submarine sensors. These underwater Accessory Communication System and Low-Frequency Variable Depth Sonar are with Sonar. In addition, these warships have state-of-the-art weapons such as lightweight torpedo, rocket, anti-tourna dicky and mine laying system.

Navy’s anti -submarine war capacity will increase

All sensors and weapons have been integrated into a combat management system and integrated complex, which makes their operational capacity highly strong. The deployment of these ships will provide a new edge to the Indian Navy’s anti -submarine war capacity and coastal defense system. These warships will ensure continuous and effective security of India’s wide coastline and important offshore assets. Due to their ability to operate in shallow water, these vessels are also efficient in tasks like patrol, monitoring, and human aid.

India capable of creating a complex warship

According to the Navy, the success of this project proves that India is now fully capable of design, construction and technical integration of complex warships. The commissioning of ‘Arnala’ will give a new force to India’s indigenous defense efforts and will strengthen the country’s strategic autonomy by reducing dependence on foreign weapons. The involvement of ‘Arnala’ is a historic moment for the Indian Navy. This step will be firmly established as a competent, self -sufficient and influential maritime power in the Indian Ocean region.
