As the Israeli-Iran Sangharsh entered its seventh day on Thursday, US President Donald Trump refused to explain whether the United States would be involved in the Israeli military campaign targeting the Iranian Iranian nuclear sites.
Talking to reporters outside the White House, Trump said, “I can do this. I can’t do it. I mean, no one knows what I am going to do.”
Later, President Trump said that Iranian officials had expressed interest in going to Washington for talks, “We can do so.” However, he said, for such discussions “it is a little late”.
Meanwhile, Foreign Ministers of Germany, France and Britain are set to meet their Iranian counterpart in Geneva on Friday for nuclear dialogue.
A German diplomatic source told Reuters that the purpose of the discussion is to secure strong assurance from Iran that its nuclear program would remain strict citizens.
While diplomatic efforts were going on, several Tehran residents demanded security on Wednesday, crowds of highways in an attempt to flee the capital amidst Israeli airstrikes between the capital.
According to the Wall Street Journal, President Trump informed senior colleagues that he had approved the plans for the attack on Iran, but was delayed by the final order to see if Tehran would leave his nuclear program.
Asked if he believes that the Iranian government may fall due to Israel’s military operation, Trump replied, “Surely, anything can happen.”
Referring to the possible destruction of Iran’s Fordo nuclear enrichment facility, Trump said, “We are the only ones that have the ability to do it. But that does not mean that I am going to do it – at all.”
Iran will not surrender to ‘American pressure’: Khamenei
86 -year -old Irani supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei criticized US President Donald Trump in a television speech on Wednesday, his first presence after Friday.
“Americans should know that any American military intervention would undoubtedly with irreparable damage,” Khamenei warned. “The Iranian nation will not surrender,” he said.
Meanwhile, Israel said that its Air Force had destroyed Iran’s police headquarters in bomb blasts in its latest round.
The Israeli army also reported that air raid sirens in Northern Israel became active in northern Israel just before the local time period on Thursday (23:00 GMT Wednesday). It said that a drone launched from Iran was intercepted, followed by another drone in minutes of the Jordan Valley.
