Ukrainian Dayana Yastrimca may be allergic to grass, but said that she loves the surface after reaching her first final in Nottingham Open.
World No. 46 defeated Polish sixth seed Magda Linnet 6-4 6-4 in the rain-referred semi-finals to reach the Sunday final, where she would face the American Mekartney Casleer, who exceeded Slovakia’s Rebecca Srimkova more than 6-4 6-2.
“I really like to play on the grass, even if I think I have a little allergy,” Yastremska said.
“I am very excited, and I was proud of myself. Everything in general does a great job. I can’t wait to play in the final.”
Yastremska, who has left just one set on his way for the final, faced the player who defeated Britain’s Katie Baulter in the quarter -finals and also the top seed Beatries Hadd Mia in the first round.
