“I had done a retrospective in Milan as 10 or 15 years ago, and I did it only because they had allowed me to complete control; I did not want to interpret by anyone,” he said. “And while I was doing it, I was thinking, who gets an opportunity to do so? It’s like writing your own obituri – you get to define how you want to represent forever.
