Red Bull Boss Christian Horner has claimed that Max Verustapen is “quite angry” with the continuous rumors around its F1 future.
Later this week, big story in Austrian GP F1 Mercedes is interested in signing the Padock Vastapane.
In an interview with Sky Sports before the weekend, Russell revealed that conversation between Mercedes and Verustapane was going on.
By 2028, the Vastapane is under contract in the Red Bull, but allegedly has a exhaust segment in its deal.
Mercedes are searching for the possibility of signing the varostapane – or when they can.
Mercedes boss Toto Wolf has indicated that he will probably maintain Russell and Km antoneley for next year.
However, with the new technical rules, a shake-up varostapen for competitive orders can be wooed to leave the red bull, especially if they are not competitive.
Speaking after qualifying in Austria, Horner addressed speculation around Vestapen.
“This is a lot of noise. I think Max gets very angry with this. We are very clear that the contract we have with Max is till 2028,” Horner said.
“Anything is completely speculative that is being said. We do not pay much attention to it.
“I can imagine that George is disappointed that he has not yet been given a contract. It is between him and his team. The situation with Max … we clearly know where we are and clearly as Max. Everything is subject to noise and clearly it remains confident between parties within any contract.”
Yellow flag cost verstappen potential front line
In terms of qualifying in Austria, Vastapane is set to start the seventh to Sunday race on the grid.
Dutchman looked at the course for the top three early positions, but faced a yellow flag on his final run.
