Padraig Harrington’s final-hole chip-in ties him with Stewart Cink, Mark Hensby at U.S. Senior Open

Colorado springs, colo. – Padraig Harrington on Saturday pulled back into a tie with Mark Hensbi at the US Senior Open with Stewart Sink and Mark Hannable at the 18th hole on the 18th hole.

The chip-in of Harrington’s chip-in for the Buddha capted a round of 2-in-end 68 and placed it in the same place that he was to start-tied with two opponents that he played in Broadmur with a more difficult day, including wind, rain, even a flash of electricity that pulls the players out of the course for half an hour.

Harrington said, “We could take the day off,” when they shook hands to wrap a day of twist and turn.

Hensbi’s 68 included one and four Birds with an eagle to bring a total of 19 to the tournament. But his best look-a 6-foot effort is that the number 18 that came as a syllabus, still Gulzar from Harrington’s shot-fell away to tool and settled for equal.

The sink included a third shot on Par-3 16th, which came from a distance compared to the other after being wrong on one put from a green curld, some 30 feet away from the hole. Sink’s bogie dropped her into a tie, and she ended with a pair.

They were in 8-under 202. A shot behind the leaders was Thomas Byorn, whose 66 matched the best round of the day and established that there seems to be a four-man fight for the title.

Steve Flesh (67) was next 4 o’clock and 66 of Steven Alkor left him under 3, tied with Miguel Angeel Jimnez (68) and Paul Stankowski (67).

Another shot back was Billy Andred (70), who fell into pain after his approach on number 17, yet somehow was still there.

It came about an hour later when his tea shot was slammed into a tree on number 13, which was about 40 yards from the T box and came to a close rest in the circle strip between T and Fairway.

Behind him, Harrington required two chips from deep rough on par-3 12th and made a double bogie to fall out of the lead. Another bogie came to 15 when he tapped the put equal to 5 feet and curl it well before the hole.

Harrington took his tea shot to some left side of the fair and had no choice but to hack and green over the lake. But he converted a potential bogey into an unexpected shower and guaranteed himself a place in the final group on Sunday, where he would try to add to the US Senior Open title won in 2022.
