It is summer time in the Northern Hemisphere and means that it is time to travel, go to new places and take lots of photos and videos.
And after spending weekends in the mountains and busy over, I realized one thing: the iPhone taken with me has a big camera problem.
1x thing I love, 5x things that hate me

Propose me by saying that I really enjoy using the iPhone camera app. The interface is well thought out, you almost do not notice the switch between the cameras, and most of the operations can be done just one hand. The option to tap on the camera preset to quickly switch between the focal lens (tap on the main lens to switch between 24 mm, 28 mm and 35 mm) is absolutely great, and it was no wonder that many phone manufacturers copied it so quickly.
But when it comes to the choice of the lens, then your expensive pro iphones come with … I have some ideas.
Tetra-evidence criticism

But this is not. And most people are not bird photographers.
I can’t just capture half the pictures that I wanted
Most people take pictures of their friends and family, or some landscape. On trails with some friends from work, there were plenty of opportunities to capture a wonderful portrait photo and 2x or 3x zoom lens would be more helpful. Instead, I just found myself … not taking a picture.
Who wants a face close-up when you are traveling hiking on that summit? A 5x zoom lens would be perfect if I wanted to snap a picture for my passport, but not much.
As you can see above, the 5x zoom lens was most useful for capturing pictures of mountain goats, but not much.
Okay, perhaps I can at least be happy that Apple did not go with the 10x zoom lens (cough, Samsung) because it would be even less useful.
iPhone 17 Pro Apple is accepting its mistake

The iPhone 17 Pro camera will look different, but it will also zoom separately
In this September, all leaks agree that Apple will finally fix its zoom mistake.
The 5x telephoto lens is allegedly being replaced by a new 3.5x zoom lens that makes a lot of promises.
A 3.5x lens is also more versatile for everyday scenarios. It is no secret that an 85 mm lens is the most popular in portrait photography, and it is what you will get with 17 Pro series.
3.5x is another benefit for telephoto camera. Long zoom lenses such as 5X require more sophisticated optics and it is difficult to pair it with a large sensor and a lens with a rapid aperture. The 3.5x is not the case for lenses, where you can have a sharp aperture, which translates into low noise snaps and also to perform very low light.
Apple is slightly in disarray, but it will help
Of course, I am accepting your stakes for fancy Word, Apple’s Crack Marketing Team will be fully seen in the comments before it is fully seen.
