At Least 162 Students Trapped Overnight in a Flooded Residential School in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum District WRE RESCUed By Police and EmerGency Teams
The students of Lav Kush Residential School Became Stranded on Saturday Night When Torrentiial Rain Inundated The School Premies, FORCING Teachers to Move them to the lootop for safety.
“We receive information that 162 students were trapped as the school premies were submerged due to heavy rain. The Teachers shifted all the students to the rooftop, where they are spent the night,” Police (Rural) Rishabha Garg Told Pti.
Emergency services Swung Into Action after Being Alerted Around 5.30 AM on Sunday. Police officers, Fire Brigade Teams, and Local Villagers Worked TOGETHER to Rescue The Students One by One, Garg Said.
Boats were deployed during the operation, while assistance from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) was also sought, he added.
