During the 12-day war of this month, at least 71 people have died in an Israeli airstrike on Evin Jail in Tehran, saying Iran’s judiciary says, after a ceasefire, there was an end to hostility between the two arch enemies after a ceasefire.

The strike on Monday, a day before the ceasefire between Israeli and Iran, destroyed the part of the administrative building in North Tehran, a large, heavy fortified complex in North Tehran, stating that rights groups said political prisoners and foreign nationals were kept.

Judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir on Sunday said about an attack of an attack, “According to official data, 71 people were killed.”

According to Jahangir, the victims of Evin were included as administrative employees, guards, prisoners and relatives as well as people living nearby.

The judiciary said that Evin’s medical center and visiting room were targeted.

A day after the strike, the judiciary stated that the jail authority of Iran had transferred prisoners to prisoners without specifying or identifying the prisoners.

Evin’s prisoners include Nobel Peace Prize winning Nerges Mohammadi and many French citizens and other foreigners.
