District Agriculture Officer Ram Babu said that farmers have put paddy nursery on a large scale and transplanting has started in many places. He said that at this time the care of the crop is most important, because after 12 to 15 days of adding the middle, the risk of pests and diseases increases. Especially the insect called ‘Stem Boror’ is most active at this time, which can damage the roots of the crop and prevents the growth of the plant.

To prevent this, he gave necessary advice to the farmers and said that use any certified pesticide available in the market. Mix it in 2 ml per liter of water and spray it in the nursery. This spraying must be done within 12 to 15 days of pouring, so that the life cycle of the stem borer cannot be completed and the crop can be protected. If this remedy is not done on time, then the productivity of the crop can be directly affected.

Ram Babu also told that the farmer should keep in mind that spraying of pesticides in the morning or evening, when the sun is not intense. This causes more effects of medicine and keeps the plants safe. He also informed that the teams of the Agriculture Department are constantly going from village to village to make farmers aware and giving them technical information.

Farmers are being told that they should adopt scientific method and cultivate them so that they can get more yield and the disease-free crop is ready. The department believes that if all the farmers use pesticides on time, then this time not only production will increase, but the crop will also be completely safe.
