Google is a technology heavyweight – this is just a fact. Despite this, it still requires our data for many of your services to work effectively. Whether we are offering ourselves Gemini indicatesBut are we foolish to rely on it with the amount of this data?
A recent article by my colleague Adamya Sharma triggered the idea. A Recently released and unclearly email emails It was explained that an upcoming July update for Gemini update “will help you use phones, messages, WhatsApp and utilities on your phone, whether your Gemini app activity is on or closed.” It’s worrying, isn’t it?
Well, it turns out that this was just a poor draft email (perhaps Google should have used Gemini to write it). In a statement, Google clarified that there is nothing to worry about, and that “users can offer Gemini’s connection to the apps at any time” through Gemini’s Apps portal. Users still have control over what Gemini has access.
Nevertheless, given the noise around this email, it is clear that users are in two minds about Google’s (and its industries contemporary ‘data privacy practices. Each day user with the importance of data, I want to know where you stand.
Here are the questions:

- Will you trade your data more, freely available, or for better-acquired AI features?
- How often do you review your Google account privacy and security settings?
