New Visa System: This country has started a free stopover visa for travelers. This means that now you can stop in this country without any extra fees. Under this new facility, passengers can now stay in this country for 96 hours i.e. 4 days and for this they will not have to pay any additional visa fee. This step can prove to be a major relief for the passengers, especially for those who are traveling long distances and want to stay for some time in between. To take advantage of this visa system, passengers must follow certain conditions.

Saudi Arabia has introduced a free stopover visa for international passengers, including residents of UAE and other Gulf countries. This will make it easier to Umrah during flight levels. This visa is available only to the passengers of Saudia Airlines or Flynas. Passengers can stay for 96 hours (four days) under stopover visa and this visa will remain valid for 90 days from the date of release. This visa allows qualified passengers to go to Mecca and Medina for religious objectives or tourism, allowing them to stop four days without the need for a separate Umrah visa.

According to the report of Gulf News, the visa is released for free, but passengers will have to buy a small processing fee of SAR 39.50 (about AED 38.68) and mandatory medical insurance starting from SAR 13 (AED 12.73). The visa automatically is made during the flight booking process through Saudia or Flynas websites.

Only those transit passengers can apply to those who have confirmed the further journey. Passengers will have to regain and schedule their Umrah or Jiyat appointments through the official nusuk.sa platform before the journey.

How will the qualification be fixed for this:

Book flights through saudia airlines or flynas
Valid passports for at least six months
Valid visa or residence permit for final destination
Upload passport size photo as per Saudi Visa guidelines
Visa is a single-entry and cannot be extended. It is not available for other airlines passengers.

This step supports Saudi Arabia’s goal of promoting short -term visits for religious and tourism purposes. Stopover visa policy is managed by the Ministry of External Affairs and its rules may change.
