The Met Office issued a yellow alert for moderate rain on Sunday. However, such weather activity was not recorded across the city till late evening. A uniform yellow warning was issued for Monday as well, and IMD is expected to rain more as the monsoon trough is now over Delhi.
The IMD said that the monsoon trough was directly more than Delhi on Sunday and was passing over the Bay of Suratgarh, Sirsa, Delhi, Lucknow, Varanasi, Pantongganj, Bankura, Digha and Bengal. “There is a possibility of light to moderate rain on Monday as well.
