East Rutherford, NJ-President Donald Trump on Sunday marked a one-year anniversary of a failed attempt on his life, in which Chelsey’s dominating FIFA club on Paris St.-Germen witnessed the FIFA club World Cup’s final victory, friends and close advisors.

The President joined the players on the field after the match to congratulate the outstanding artists of the tournament, presented the PSG players with his runner-up medal and gave Chelsea their championship trophy.

“It was a disturbed today I think I was upset,” Trump told reporters after going back to Washington after Chelsea’s victory. “But it was a great match.”

Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were congratulated with Cheers as they arrived at the Metlife Stadium just before the pre-match performance by musical artists Robbie Williams and Laura Posini. And the President was shown briefly on the mega-screen of the stadium, when he received a smattering of the boos.

The President waved the crowd and pumped his fist as he and his entry reached the luxury box, where he took the match with FIFA president Gianni Infantino and his wife, Leena Al Ashk.

Other guests spotted in the President’s suite included Attorney General Palm Bandi, Transport Secretary Scene Dafi, Homeland Security Secretary Christie Nom, NFL Mahan Tom Brady and Media Mogul Rupert Murdoch.

In more than a year, MetLife will host the 2026 World Cup final.

Chelsea of the English Premier League spoiled the PSG bid to win its fourth major title of the season, when PSG 100 days after counting the lease on 1 April on 5 April. The Paris team beat Rims 3–0 on May 24 to add Cup de France, then romanced Inter Milan seven days later in the final of the Champion League.

Chelsea dominated the whole time, running a pair of balls from Cole Palmer and a pair of Joo Pedro for a 3–0 lead in the first half.

The sports events have made a large part of Trump’s visits in the US since assuming office this year. In addition to his visit early this week in the football tournament, he fights for Super Bowl in New Orleans, Detona 500 in Florida, Miami and Newarark, New Jersey, and participated in the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia.
