Shubhanshu Shukla returns to earth: Group captain Shubhanshu Shukla, first Indian to step inside Indian International Space Station (ISS)AXIOM-4 (AX-4) has safely returned to Earth after the 18-day mission in the crew. On Tuesday, the crew entered the Earth’s atmosphere with a successful splashdown from the California coast. While the ISS and his journey on Earth is an example for all those future astronauts, it is also important to understand how the body reacts to these changes between gravity and microgravity.

In this article, we will understand how the human body reacts to microgravity and then after a long time after entering the gravity force.

Shubhanshu Shukla returns to earth: Health challenges astronaut faces

Although it may look stunning to live above the Earth, and look at the planet with that scene, experts say all these also come with health challenges. Shubhanshu Shukla On Wednesday, ISS returned to Earth after spending 18 days under microgravity at ISS, however, his landing was successfully made, experts warned that their body could show some complications that are common for any astronauts who have gone to ISS.

Post-Splashdown: Recovery of Shubhanshu Shukla

After the landing, the crew was met by SpaceX Recovery Teams and was immediately taken to NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston. According to reports, astronauts will undergo a re-rehabilitation of 7-day rehabilitation to overcome any health issues that can be caused by microgravity. The astronauts here pass through:

Shubhanshu Shukla Health Update Post ISS Mission

According to experts, astronauts will undergo 7 10-day rehabilitation protocol post -landing including physical, heart, vision, balance, immunity and mental health check-up.

See details about health issues after re -entering the Earth’s gravity:

Muscle atrophy

Muscle atrophy, also known as muscle weakness, is one of a general health problem that faces every astronaut. This is mainly caused by low activity when the body is subject to microgravity.

Loss of bone density

Bone damage from microgravity is addressed through exercises and remedies monitored. Astronauts often wear compression garments and pass through fluid-loading protocols to stabilize blood pressure.

To correct this problem, astronauts are designed to follow strength and heart training to restore their ability to walk normally and to function.

According to reports, studies have shown that astronauts lose up to 1 2% bone density per month, which is equal to a decade aging in a few weeks in ISS.

Heart health issues

During his stay in the ISS, astronauts also develop some issues with their hearts, called space-inspired cardiovascular problems. Without pulling gravity, the amount of blood and heart function drop orthostatic intolerance, dizziness, and lead to aerobic ability on earth.

Psychological adjustment

In addition to physical health issues, astronauts are also suffering from severe stress and mental problems, such as irritability, sleep disturbances, and concentration issues are called “temporary”.

Talking to the media, Union Minister Jithendra Singh said, “Shubhanshu Shukla will undergo a series of post-mission processes in California.” Some SOPs are to be followed … their rehabilitation, debrifling session and a series of discussions with team ISRO. We can expect them in Delhi by 17 August. ,
