Strong growth in retail and digital services
Consolidated revenue increased by 6 percent to Rs 2.73 lakh crore due to strong growth in retail and digital services. In this quarter, the company’s operating profit (Ebitda) increased by 36 percent to Rs 58,024 crore, in which consumer businesses contributed well. The profit of Jio platforms increased by 25 percent to Rs 7,110 crore, while Ebitda increased by about 24 percent to Rs 18,135 crore. Pure customer engagement was strong at 99 lakhs during the quarter. Due to which the total customer number increased to 498.1 million.
JioTrue5G has crossed the number of users of 20 crores, while Jioairfiber is now the largest FWA (fixed wireless access) service globally with customer base of 74 lakhs. Average revenue or ARPU per user increased to Rs 208.7 due to recent tariffs and seasonal reasons. Jio maintained a leading customer engagement in the industry with an increase of 37 GB per month and a 24 percent increase in total data traffic during the June quarter. The total data traffic increased by 24 percent to 54.7 billion GB during this quarter.
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that ‘Reliance has started the financial year 26 with a strong, all round operational and financial performance. Despite the remarkable ups and downs in the global large economic scenario, the consulted Ebitda for the first quarter of FY 26 has improved significantly compared to last year. Whereas during the quarter, there was an atmosphere of uncertainty in the energy markets and there was heavy fluctuations in crude oil prices. He said that the petroleum business recorded a strong growth on the basis of domestic demand and offering value-added solutions through the Jio-BP network, while improving the margin of fuel and other products also strengthened demonstrations.
