A red warning has been issued for two states, while an orange warning has been issued to three states including three states, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu and Bihar. Meanwhile, the rest of the states are on yellow alert except Rajasthan.
IMD’s state-wise weather warnings down:
“On July 20, very heavy rainfall (21 cm) is very likely at different places on Kerala and coastal Karnataka.” IMD said in its latest weather bulletin. Kannur and Kasargod districts of Kerala are on red alert today, while orange weather warns are for Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts.
IMD has also issued a warning for fishermen in Kerala and Karanata. “Squali season with air speed 40 – is likely to be strong at a speed of 60 kmph at a speed of 50 kmph.”
There is a possibility of isolated heavy rainfall in the following areas:
- “Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand are expected to be isolated during 23rd -25th, Odisha, Chhattisgarh; during the 20th -25th, Chhattisgarh; during the 21st -25th, Vidarbh, 20th and 21st, Sub -Himalayan West Bengal and Saikam said during 20th -2122.
- In Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till 24 July.
- On 20 and 21 July in Uttar Pradesh.
- In Punjab and Haryana till 22 July and then on 24 July.
- In Kerala and Karnataka till 25 July.
- In Tamil Nadu till 22 July.
- Tomorrow in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
- In Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura till tomorrow and then again on 24 and 25 July.
Delhi-NCR weather today
Delhi and Netaniel Capital area will also see increased rainfall in the coming week. Although there is no rain alert for the national capital for Sunday, IMD forecasts, “partially cloudy. Very light rain.”
