Kazakh Alexander Bublike Beating Argentina, won his first tour-level Cle-Cort title at Swiss Open in GSTAAD Juan Manuel Sandolo6-4, 4-6, 6-3 in the final of ATP 250 event on Sunday.
The French Open Quarter Finalist Buccal is second in GSTAD, playing in his first final on Clay. They did not drop a set an route in the final, but had to re -gather after a second set to seal the victory in just two hours.
“Juan, as I told you on the net, was not a tennis. It was a complete torture,” the baby joked at the trophy ceremony. “This is my sixth title and I have played the great people, but this final I will remember as one of the most difficult I ever played.
“I can’t wait to come back next year. Beautiful Alps. It’s a wonderful place. I’m really happy that I stand here as a winner, but even though I lost in the first round, but the scene is amazing anyway.”
The victory for Bublie was a solid return after his first round of Wimbledon. This was his second title of the season and the sixth title of his career. World No. 34 lifted the ATP 500 Grass-Cort Trophy in Halle last month.
