In the last few weeks, many colleagues have sent me the same message on the slack. “Hey, I have a question to address: How do I wear clothes for the office when it is really hot out and is too cold inside?” Pointing to a summer wave with weather forecast in New York-Temps can reach 103 degrees (which is 39 degrees for our Celsius friends)-Now it seems like the right time to find out what to do about the upcoming ultra-humid megi days. You know, when you can feel your sweat-soaked T-shirt (forgive), it turns into an icicle after 10 minutes of sitting on your computer.
There are some ways to move around it depending on the severity of heat and humidity (this is always humidity!). First: If you have a desk in your office, you should always keep a sweater on the hand (or a jacket if you want something more formal) then you can wrap on your shoulders or when you start getting chili, wear it on your lap as a blanket. You can, of course, take a sweater in your bag, but I think when it is really hot, avoids a lot of things – whether they are heavy or not – only make you feel warm.
Second: Consider wearing the base layer. Yes, even in July or August, when the whole city feels like a brick-oven pizzeria, layering is being done there. A basic piece (again, I regret) absorbs your sweat so that you can’t hold yourself on the pole on a downtown 1 train, a bead of sweat under your calf, behind your ankle, and in your shoes (it happened to me). I will usually wear a hanes tank top (I buy a packet of them in a young XL so that they are tight-fitting and not too long), but I think Unique’s airism tank would be a even better solution. I recently came to know that they also make airism biker shorts. I think technically they are “shapers”, but they look light enough to wear under the skirt and cloth, especially if your thighs chase the thighs in summer. (My chaf hack is to rub foul smell on my thighs. I have learned it in an old issue Jane The magazine where foreign dancers offered beauty advice, and said that the deodorant helped them to avoid the underlying hair. the more you know!)
When things become too hot to handle really, we can see the working girls of the 1980s for inspiration. Tes McGill, if you miss, swaps them for pumps after wearing white sneakers and scrench socks and stepping from the Pheri island. The 2025 counterpart can be simple as wearing a T-shirt or tank top and from work, and switching on a blouse; Or wearing something Nu-Metal Shorts And when you come to the office, swap them for a slinky silk skirt (a great way to avoid sweat stains, etc.). Now, I know that it goes against my first rule of “carrying unnecessary luggage”, but when it actually gets filled with steam, you do what you have to do. When the rest fails, buy one of those chic small battery -powered fans and remember how sad you were in the middle of February when it seemed on the day of snow that they were never going to end (and it was very hot in your office, to boot).
