Actor Allu Arjun has reportedly been removed from director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming project. While an official confirmation is still awaited, a report by TOI suggests that the film, which Allu Arjun signed last year, has either been quietly shelved or restructured, with Jr NTR now being considered for the lead role.
Allu Arjun walks out of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film
This news follows closely on the heels of another high-profile ouster from Vanga’s camp. Deepika Padukone was reportedly dropped from the Prabhas-starrer ‘Spirit’ due to disagreements over work hours, remuneration, and profit-sharing. She asked for shorter working hours to balance her personal and professional life.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga didn’t hold back and took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), publicly criticising Deepika for “dirty PR games.” He wrote, “When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA between us. But by doing this, You’ve ‘DISCLOSED’ the person that you are…”
He further alleged that Deepika attempted to sideline a younger actor and manipulate the narrative. “You didn’t get it. You won’t get it. You will never get it,” he stated.
What’s next for Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone?
Interestingly, Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone are set to co-star in Atlee’s upcoming big-budget project, which is tentatively titled ‘AA22xA6’. While early rumours suggested a two-hero storyline, Allu Arjun’s team recently clarified that he will be seen in dual roles.
Production on the Atlee film is expected to begin in mid-2025, with a grand theatrical release slated for 2026. With the recent shake-ups involving both stars.
