242 people carrying London-Bound Air India Plane 242 people crashed into a residential area, crashed in a residential area soon after the take-off in Ahmedabad, Western India.

The airline says 241 people were killed in the aircraft – a passenger, a British citizen, survived and being treated at the hospital.

The dramatic footage shows the aircraft unloading before coming down into an underlying area.

The plum of black smoke is then seen rising in the sky after the explosion. Officials started a major rescue operation.

The British world -based Ramesh survived the accident, and met the Minister of Indian Home Affairs at the hospital.
