Aldrich Potgiator made five consecutive bridges at the Detroit Golf Club in 65 shoots and took a lump sum 54-hole lead in rocket classic.
The 20 -year -old South African stands under 19, two shots of Max Greciamen (66), Jake Kannap (66), Mark Hubard (67), Andrew Poonam (69) and Chris Kirk (69).
The Potugator shared the first round lead after matching the course record (62), which was set by Kevin Roy on Thursday eight minutes ago. Kannap broke the record with 61 on Friday, but it was a trio of Cancer, Philip Nolles and Putnam, who shared the Midway lead in 14 undergraduate. Potgiators, after 70, were two behind.
To start round 3 after a shirt and two pars, the potgiator turned Nos in 4-8 to 6-under 30. He cooled on the back with a shirt and eight pars.
The Potugator won the Corn Ferry Tour to earn his PGA tour card for this season last year. He lost in a playoffs at Brian Campbell at the February Mexico Championship and is currently ranked 73rd in Fedexcup points.
Nolles is now back eight after 75 while Roy (69) is currently back -13 and five back.
