Alex Ila is set to reach a new ranking milestone after destroying Dayana Yastrimca to reach the semi -finals of the 2025 Eastbourne Open.

With its latest win, the EALA has climbed a new career-high ranking of World No. 64 in Live WTA rankings. His previous best ranking was 69th.
After being ranked 74th, EALA has collected 101 points for its run in the semi -finals as a qualifier.
If she was to lift her first WTA title on the English south coast, the EALA would be estimated to jump at 52nd in the world, while a runner-up finish would see her climbing on 56th.
After winning his second round against Ostapenko, Eela talked about his form on the grass.
“The grass season is not very long, and I did not have many [matches] In general, I am happy that I am able to do well.
“I think it’s growing on me, I think it is conforming to my game.”
On the challenge of facing Ostapenko, he said: “I think I was very happy how I was remembering and rebounding after that first set. Because she was really dominating me.
“I am proud of how I was able to find a solution. She retired but in the third I had good opportunities. I broke it and I was on a role.
“Although you can never know what can happen if she continues, but overall I am happy.”
