
At least 15 Officials say people have been injured in Russian attacks on Ukrainian capital Kiev.
The overnight attack on Tuesday was one of the biggest bombings on Kiev since the onset of a full -scale invasion more than three years ago.
Ukraine’s Internal Minister, Ihor Clemenco, said a total of 440 drones and 32 missiles were launched in the country.
Meanwhile, Russian air defense units stopped and destroyed 147 Ukrainian drones overnight, said the Moscow Ministry of Defense.
Attack on Kiev lasted for more than nine hours – to send residents to run away for underground shelters before midnight after sunrise.
Officials said a ballistic missile hit the nine-storey apartment building in a district, in which a total of 27 districts of the city were coming in fire.
A 62 -year -old American citizen was among the killed, said Kiev’s Mayor Vitley Clitsco.
Ukrainian MP Lesia Wasilanko wrote on X, “Waking up in the nightmare of awake: The people trapped under the debris and full buildings collapsed.”
Klymenko said the rescue teams were still working to free people.
Loud explosions shook the city, as well as a machine used by mobile Ukrainian air defense units to shoot drones.
Later in the morning more siren disrupted rescue operations in the city, obstructing emergency workers in search of debris for survivors.
Russia has intensified its airstrikes against Ukrainian cities in recent weeks, designed to increase Ukrainian aerial rescue with a strategy of sending large waves of drones and decoys.

President Voludmi Zelancesi called Russia’s most recent wave “pure terrorism”.
