Australia’s media watchdog has warned the affected people that if they are caught promoting illegal gambling sites, they face fines in the form of AU $ 2.5M (US $ 1.6m).
While online game betting is licensed across the country, there are no legal online casinos. This has increased the number of affected on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Tikok, which shows material from offshore gambling sites.
