A total of 3,04,980 candidates have qualified the Uttar Pradesh Bed Joint Entrance Examination 2025, the results of which were declared on Tuesday. Out of 3,44,546 registered candidates, 3,05,332 appeared for the examination held on 1 June.
There are 605 seats in 7 government colleges, 7,545 seats in 107 aided colleges and 2.30 lakh seats in 2,221 private bed colleges in UP. This year, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi conducted the entrance examination. Counseling dates and fees are yet to be announced.
Result Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia was declared by Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay and Minister of State for Higher Education Raja Tiwari at National Law University. The ministers also interacted with the top 10 rank holders and congratulated him for his outstanding performance.
Top three candidates of Varanasi Division
Suraj Kumar Patel of Mirzapur district topped the examination with 362.662 marks out of 400. A student of a science stream, he expressed happiness in receiving a congratulatory virtual call from the minister. He said, “It was a huge morale booster to receive a call from the minister, which we did not expect. As I have topped the exam, I have only approved the first hurdle. I have to prepare for future challenges now,” he said.
Shiba Parveen secured second rank from Bhadohi. A 20 -year -old science stream student shared his long passion for teaching. He said, “I honestly love teaching and want to inspire children to learn them,” he said that he had enrolled in a private school to help in preparing the exam.

Shivangi Yadav, a 21 -year -old art stream student from Jaunpur, secured the third rank. Expressing his happiness, he said, “I am planning to pursue higher studies like med and more. I dream of becoming an assistant professor.”
Coming in the fourth, the 25 -year -old science stream student of Gosi was Predman Singh Yadav. Inspired deeply from his father, who is also a teacher, he said, “I have always been interested in teaching – ever since I was a child. My family and I are really pleased with the result.”

Minister emphasizes ‘Guru’ on the role of teachers
During the virtual conversation, Minister Yogendra Upadhyay urged the students to give “only teachers” a goal of becoming “gurus.” He emphasized the importance of guiding the society with knowledge and compassion, saying, “A guru not just provides knowledge, but also provides direction, values ​​and life guidance. This is the true objective of education.”
He highlighted how the Yogi government has started a new era of transparency, quality and innovation in the departments. “Ever since the Yogi government has taken over, a new era of change in the state has begun,” he said.
The Minister of Higher Education also underlined the efforts made to ensure transparency in the examination process. He noted the use of biometric appearance, AI-based monitoring and live monitoring as steps taken to eliminate misconduct and ensure proper conduct.
Minister of State Rajni Tiwari echoed these sentiments, saying, “UP government is committed to ensuring transparency, technological innovation and quality in education. The success of this examination by Bundelkhand University is a new benchmark for the state education system.”
