Two members of the K-Pop Powerhouse BTS have completed their compulsory military service, inspiring fan frenzy and anticipation for their return.
RM and V congratulated fans with salute and Saxophone performance after giving discharge on Tuesday. V asked fans to “just wait for a while” for BTS.
All seven members are ready to end their military service by the end of this month and their agency Hybe indicated in a reunion. He went to intervals in 2022 at the height of his global fame.
Hundreds of fans, people who flew from abroad gathered in front of the Hyb’s headquarters at Central Seoul to celebrate RM and V return on Tuesday.
Many of them were dressed in Purple, BTS’s signature color, and took large banners and photos of two K-Pop idols.
South Korea requires all capable men between 18 and 28 years of age to serve in military for about two years so that the country can be ready to fight the north.
On Tuesday, Hybe performed a banner, stating that “We R Back”, with the official logo of the BTS and Army – a brief name for the band’s fan group, who stands for the adorable representative MC for the youth – on its building.
“It seems incredible. To be in Seoul here, to see the place where BTS grew up and started singing and dancing. It’s amazing,” Janaya, who flew from Britain, told Korea Herald.
“I want to tell RM and V that you are a large -scale inspiration, and I love you very much!” The 28 -year -old said.
Australia’s Ivory said, “It has been a long, long time without you. I am happy that you are back and in the end you are free to do whatever you want to do.”
Hannah Chung, who lives in London, told the AFP news agency that he had planned his journey two years ago “because I knew that the members would be out”.
She is giving the band’s debut celebration, giving the band a chance to see the band at the annual BTS Festa, which will be on Friday.
During his discharge in Chuchon, RM thanked the fans for waiting for his national duties.
“Now, I am ready to hit the field again as RM of BTS. Thank you all who were waiting and looked after us,” he said.
V said the military term “was the time for me to reset physically and mentally”.
He said, “I really want to run into the army as soon as possible. Thank you for our wait during our military service,” he said.
Septate started in 2013, but it was not until 2017 when a highly successful American tour promoted its mixture of pop, hip -hop and R&B – mostly in Korean – on the global stage.
Since then, they have become the most stream groups on Spotify, the first K-POP Act to top the American iTunes chart and several billboard charts, and is one of the most respected groups in history.
The band’s name is small for Bangton Boys, or is “Bulletproof Boy Scouts” in Korean.
BTS has actively advocated for youth issues, including a mental health initiative with UNICEF.
It has also addressed the United Nations General Assembly and has met former US President Joe Biden to discuss an increase in Esty-Asian hatred crimes.
The band had earlier won a deficker – when in 2020, the nation’s Parliament passed a bill, allowing them to delay their duties by the age of 30.
In 2022, the oldest member of the group, Jis, was listed, and others followed the suit.
