According to former Wimbledon champion Konchita Martinez, Carlos Alakraj and Emma Redukanu will add some additional enthusiasm to the 2025 US Open Mixed doubles competition.
The US Open organizers sent tennis fans into a frenzy when they announced that two Grand Slam winners would form teams in the new mixed doubles format in August.
The tournament will be a week before the US Open Singles event and eight teams got direct entries based on their joint single rankings, while one and one have entered through eight wildcards.
Alkaraz And Redukenu One of the wildcard pairing was confirmed as one of the star-staded line-ups will include Jannik Sinner and Emma Navaro, Casper Rudd and IGA Swiatech, Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreva, and Stephanos Tsitipus and Paula Badsa.
Tennis Great Novak Djokovic will also be action as he will work closely with fellow Serbian Olga Denylvic.
The Alkraj-Redukanu partnership certainly surprised the tennis community with Spaniered, in which he confirmed that he requested to play with the 2021 US Open winner.
“I mean, the tournament told us about the tournament, mixed tournament,” he revealed. “I was thinking that if I was not with Emma I could not play better. I just asked Emma if she wanted to play doubles with me. Yes, I made that special request.”
The five -time Grand Slam winner said: “I am super excited about it. I think it is going to be very good. It was a wonderful idea for the tournament.
“I know Emma a long time ago, so we know each other. I have a really good relationship with her. So it’s just going to be interesting.
“You know, clearly both, you know, we are going to enjoy, of course. I will try, you know, to put your doubles skills on it. We will try to win. But obviously it is really funny.”
And former world number 2 winner Martinez has been asked to take on the exciting pair.
“This is definitely a very exciting couple. They praise each other very much,” Martinez said while talking to Boylspports, who offer the latest offer Tennis betting,

The Spaniel, who raised the Wimbledon Women’s Single Trophy in 1994, also talked about the rise of Alakraj as one of the best players in tennis.
The 22 -year -old recently won his fifth head at the French Open, when he defeated Jannik Sinner in five sets in the final for five hours and 29 minutes.
Alakraj won the US Open in 2022, Wimbledon in 2023 and the French Open and Wimbledon last year.
Martinez, who is currently coaching young teenage sensation Mirra Andreeva, is a wonderful motion. He joins with sufficient speed there.
“If Alakraj remains healthy and keeps on moving in this way, I see him winning a grand slam in at least one year.
“He has a long way to reach the same Grand Slam as Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, but hopefully he continues to improve. The way he is going, he can reach there.”
