Both Daniel Bell-Dramand and Harry Finch made for Kent for two days of their county championship match with Northamptonshire in Cancerbury for centuries, but are seen in the lead for the match draw.
Visitors had reached 140–1 in stumps, 426 deficiency, unbeaten on Ricardo Vasconcelos 87 and Calvin Harrison with 41 Not Out. Matt Quinn took the only wicket to Luke Proctor for eight.
Earlier, Kent announced 556–8, Bell-Drumand won 158 in a 208 stand with Finch, scoring 118 runs. Liam Guthari took 3-29, but the bowlers of Northeers worked for the entire work with Kuqaburra ball and the Kent attack did not take much better rent.
Visitors started the day with an initial wicket, when Joy Evisan left for 37 in the fourth over, 29 not out, for 37 – Gathari was caught behind the next delivery after running Gathari through mid -off for four for a textbook.
However, it was a high point for visitors, whose main suffering was all very familiar.
Bell-Dramand hit an unbeaten triple century in Northampton in 2023 and he reached three figures by scrabbleing for a single of Harrison.
Finch the next time he brought his half-century when he went to Yuzvendra Chahal under the wicket and hit him for more than four, as Kent reached 446–5 on lunch.
After refreshments, Finch reached his sixth first class hundred, when he pulled Saif Zibs into the backward class leg boundary for four and a single of Harrison finally caught the bell-dramand to 150 before he was caught in an attempt to sweep the Zab.
Finch went into the next over, trying to reverse Harrison and fell into a sharp one hand grip by Justin Broad, but Kent batted until Matt Parkinson was trying to sweep the same bowler for four.
Kent announced, took tea and missed Quin in the last season and broke nine balls in the pre-season, marking his return to the first team, with the proctor to retreat in the seventh over.
This was a different success. Vasconcelos ran up to 50 with 51 balls and although Kent followed the North Commentashire lead to slow down the scoring rate slightly, it seemed as if the same way a batsman would come out, who was removing his wicket – neither did it.
