Wimbledon Champion Barbora Crassicova withdrew a thigh injury exactly four days before the defense of its Sw19 title from Eastborn.
The check was taken to three sets in both their matches at the South Coast, defeating the Britain Herriot Dart and Jodi Barage in one and two respectively.
She was set to face France’s Varwara Grancheva in the quarter -finals, but came out before the match began.
Two -time leading single champion Crassicova initially felt the issue on Wednesday and said it “deteriorated overnight”.
“I am very sorry that I am having some agony in my right thigh.”
“I think it is better with Wimbledon in the next few days to relax and see what is going on and to solve it.”
Crassicova, who will play the defending Woman Champion in Wimbledon on Tuesday, has played just six matches this year after a long delay with a back injury.
He lost his first round match of Queen last week and then saved the match points against both dart and barage.
World No. 17 defeated Jasmine Paolini of Italy in the final of Wimbledon last year.
