Ed the Zebra was safely caught after being located in a pasture near a subdivision in the Christiana community in Central Tennessee, the Rutherford County Sheriff Office confirmed. Sheriff’s office said the airline captured Zebra.
Sheriff’s office said in a statement, “Ed was sent back to a waiting animal trailer by a helicopter.”
The video posted by Sheriff’s office suggests that Ed is wrapped in a net with his head, as he is taken to the trailer by helicopter.
Ed reached Christiana on 30 May, Sheriff’s office said. His owner reported him to disappear the next day.
Zebra was spotted and running with Interest 24, forcing duties to close the roadway. But Ed ran into a wooden area.
Several scenes were posted on social media. Ed was shot trotting through a neighborhood.
Zebra quickly became the subject of internet memes. A fake posting showed add dining in a waffle house, a southern staple. Other people had to go to other Tennessi cities or roadside.
A runway Kangaroo chased Ed a month after closing a section of Alabama Interstate.
