Emma Redukanu is back to the top 50 of the WTA rankings after one year of progress, but the 2021 US Open Champion could withstand a slide when she was handed over a challenging Wimbledon draw.
Redukenu Last year reached the fourth round in Wimbledon, with 240 points, she collected from that run set to leave her ranking in this year’s tournament at All England Club.
If she fails to match her performance in Wimbledon last year, the 22 -year -old will slide backwards in rankings and may lose her position as Katie Baulter as British No. 1.
In his initial match at Redukanu Wimbledon, the British teenager would be a strong favorite to defeat Mmi Joo, but then he may be in line to face 2023 Wimbledon Champion Marketa Wondrasova in Round Two.
Wondrasova confirmed that he was in a red-hot form in Wimbledon after winning the WTA 500 tournament on grass in Berlin last week.

Draw means that after Wimbledon, once again there is a possibility of sliding the top 50 once again and she is reducing her expectations, going with a back injury in the tournament.
“Really I don’t expect much from myself this year,” said Redukanu. “I know that I am working with just a few things.
“I just want to go out of there and hug the moment. I want to hug the opportunity. I know there are not many opportunities to play in Wimbledon. You get it for a finite amount of time once a year. I am eager to just go out and feel the atmosphere and atmosphere.
“I just feel that I am going to do what is taking more time in court.
“Perhaps I feel a little more tired in the short term, but I know I am going to improve in a long time. Even if I don’t see the results directly, they will come.
“For me, I like to work a lot, and I think this is the platform that I am working now, just have to work, keep hours in and be better.”
Redukanu also commented on his position as British No. 1, as he emphasized rivalry with Katie Baulter that domestic Itle is suited to all.
“This is a great honor for being a British number 1. It’s been a long time, but Katie is hot on my heels, a couple of places behind me. I know that he is such a great grass court player, a great player in general,” he said.
“This is going to be a very difficult fight in the rest of the season in the next few months. For us, we have a really healthy, good relationship. I think it’s good, but it’s not everything for me.”
