Carlos Alakraj and Emma Redukanu ‘A very exciting couple’
2021 US Open winner talked about his relationship with Alakraj.
“I have known him for years and actually in Wimbledon 2021, it was like the first time I started to know him, and I made a good run there and then again in the US Open in 2021.
“And I remember he was always playing my first day and I was playing like the second day of the round. And I will see him winning and then would inspire me to win and bring myself into that position.
“And I remember he defeated Steaf [Tsitsipas] In the third round and it was like a big win, his breakout kind of win on a big stage and it was really good, I think, walk together with that tournament and then I went through the US Open, but we were living in contact all the time and yes, it’s good.
“We still have a good relationship. He is clearly taking me far ahead, but it is good that we have some time ago.
“I think for all of us, we really give importance to the connections that we were when we were young because when you get a little more known or a little more successful, you just find yourself back to those you knew from young age because you like, because it is a real connection, because it is a real connection, because it gets very busy and you have a lot of friends, but you are too much, but you are too much,”
Redukanu is in action in this week’s WTA 250 tournament in Eastborn, where she will play an LI in her first match.
