Fabio Di Giannantonio refuses to hide behind ‘excuse’
“Definitely [a tough weekend]”Di Gennantonio accepted.” Let’s reach the direct point. I do not want to find excuses. Certainly, my feeling with the bike was not spectacular. But I want to take all responsibility because I think the rider is the leader of the team.
“I have been very accurate in my career at the end of this week. Perhaps it is due to situations and everything, but I just want to say that it is my responsibility that we did not have a package to fight in the weekend today and overall.
“So a pity. But we have a lot of time now, to re -organize again, re -work and work on ourselves.”
The Brahman Round was in the fourth race in five weekends and the twelfth of the season, but Italian refused to blame fatigue.
“I like to be the purpose and I never want to find things out of my control,” he said. “All other riders are in the same boat. So I have to be better than others. And I have not done so.”
Asked if the front-end issues in the Grand Prix were similar to those who caused their sprint crash, Di Gianntonio said:
“Suppose we had a little bad luck yesterday. It was a special thing that I could not say, but perhaps it could help us to do a proper sprint, better to understand that we were in the wrong direction. But I had to solve it a little earlier.”
Despite its condition being as sharp opposite – at least one race during the last five rounds ended in the top six – Di Gennantonio emphasized the disappointing check that his confidence has not been reduced.
“It’s not that I am not in the top size or anything,” he said. “In a Motogp weekend, you have to focus on many things – riding and responding to the team.
“We know what has been changed compared to Sachsenring. We know what we have to do to resume this season. It’s just an off weekend for me and us.”
Looking forward to the summer break, Di Giantonio said it would close and fresh into the red bull ring in mid -August.
“I think the good thing is that apart from racing there is life,” he smiled. “I will enjoy free time with my family. I want to go on vacation with my girlfriend. I want to go to my grandfather.
“So I will spend a good break completely – and try to be the best Digia possible to resume the weather.”
Team Franco Morbideli was sidelined from the check weekend due to a shoulder injury in Germany.
The VR46 pair have now reached the fourth position in the World Championship of Marco Bezchi of both of them, with ten rounds.
