A fire has destroyed the main stage in Belgium yesterday’s celebration, two days before opening the incident.

The festival organizers said on Wednesday evening, “Due to a serious incident and fire on yesterday, our beloved mainstages have been severely damaged.”

The statement said that no one was injured during the explosion, the reason for which is not clear.

Electronic dance music ceremony is scheduled to begin on Friday in a boom city south of Antarp, with 400,000 people expecting to participate in two weekends.

The fire began on Wednesday 18:00 local time (16:00). The video posted on social media shown thick gray smoke surrounding the stage.

Firefighting neighbors are working to prevent flames reaching homes and forests. Some residents have been evacuated.

In an update posted on the festival website, the organizers stated that the campsite would still open as per the plan, and that “focus on finding a solution for the festival weekend”.
