The family of a motorcycle driver Harry Dunn, who was killed in an accident outside an American military base in the UK, said an inquiry over how the Foreign Office (FO) took over the matter within weeks.
The 19 -year -old bike was killed in 2019 by a car driving the wrong part of the road by Anne Saculus at RAF Croton, Northamptonshire.
He left the country after the incident, the US claimed that it was diplomatic immunity from the prosecution.
Mr. Dun’s mother Charlotte Charles described the review as a “welcome step”.

Ms. Charles said: “We hope that this investigation will be a real, independent discovery, not only for us, but also to ensure that whatever we did.
“Any bereaved family should never be treated the way we were.”

It is understood that the review will not consider any issue involved in the participation of the US government or the hearing of the previous court.
