The former cricketer said, the IPL has changed the lives of all the cricketers who are now playing, they do not need to play Test cricket, they can get contracts all over the world.

India will have to rely a lot on their pace Spearhead Jasprit Bumrah to win the Test match, but they have the ability to beat everywhere in a 50 -over game, looking at the depth of their talent, South African -born England, a South African -born England veteran Alan Lamne.
The pre-cricketer, which now runs a successful hospitality venture ‘Lamb Associates’, is happy with the rise of Indian cricket and how the IPL has been a life-conversion for cricketers worldwide, but is not very happy with the way the ICC is running Test cricket.
The 71 -year -old, who represented England in three wold cups and 79 tests, and saw South Africa’s historical opportunity to win in the World Test Championship Finals, away from how the WTC can survive in its current format.
Forced to go from SA to England in the era of apartheid, he gave his views on the controversial racial quota system in South African cricket.
Talking to PTI, Lamb spoke passionately about his game’s days with Kapil Dev in county cricket and why he rates Sachin Tendulkar over Sunil Gavaskar and Virat Kohli.
Lambs
Talking about Indian cricket, the lamb said, “I always thought that Indian cricket was going to go up, it was on a gradual climb. And due to the population and being your number one game, cricket was always going to the top of the tree. IPL has changed cricket in India and the world. It is incredible to see these youths.”
“In cricket in a day, India should win every competition. In Test matches, you are going to trust Bumrah a lot and you are going to remember Virat Kohli for a long time.” They said
Lamb shows the impact of IPL on international cricketers
Lamb also reflected the impact of IPL on international cricket and said, “It has changed the lives of all the cricketers playing now. They do not have to play Test cricket. They can have only 20-20 contracts worldwide.
“And would I have enjoyed the IPL? Yes, because when I used to play, I always waited for the last 20 overs or last 10 overs if we are playing 50 overs games.” They said
The lamb remembers meeting Kapil Dev
The lamb also remembered meeting Kapil Dev, “I love the way Kapil Dev played. We played together in Northampton. I remember that I am coming to him and I am saying, ‘I am very happy that you have come on you. We need to strengthen our bowling. He said,’ No, I have not come to strengthen my bowling.
Gavaskar, Sachin and Kohli
Lamb easily chose Sachin as the best between Gavaskar, Kohli and Sachin. “Sachin easily. I played against him at the age of 18. I dropped him on a slip and went to get 100 (in a Test match). So I always say to him, it was my name (laughing).”
“Kohli is a great player, he has got all the shots, he can score quickly. But if you want the best player against me, he is Indian player Sachin, even ahead of Sunny. The only thing I loved to see Sachin playing the West Indies, where Sunny scored runs against the West Indies.”
Lamb on current WTC format
Lamb on the current WTC format, “ICC is going to do something about it because the format they have for international test matches, people are also not sure what is going on there as it has been more than two years.”
“There are some teams, such as everyone said, South Africa qualified due to the fact that they had played all the weak teams. But it was not the problem of South Africa. It was the ICC problem. They came with it.”
“And, I believe, you need a two-level structure. And it is found to come very fast. The President of the ICC, he has sat down, otherwise, cricket is going to be in a loss. You need to play strong teams to play each other, but they too have got to play weak teams.”
Lamb louds aden markram for his WTC final knock
