The internal minister says that at least four people have been killed in Russian missiles and drone attacks overnight on Ukraine’s capital.
In a post on social media, Ihor Clemenco says the residential area, hospital and sports infrastructure was hit.
“An entire section of a residential high-growing building was destroyed” in the worst hit Shevchenkivski district, they say, some people are trapped under the rubble.
In the Kiev region, a woman died and one and two people were injured in the Russian air strike, called regional head Mycola Kalshenak.
The Russian Army has not commented on the issue.
DSNS, serving Ukraine’s emergency, says 13 people – including two children and a pregnant woman – were injured in Kiev.
It has posted the footage in which the surprised residents were being taken away from a destroyed tall building which was still burning.
Several blases have been done in the capital.
Local officials say that the entry of one of the underground metro stations in the city was damaged in the Russian attack.
Several residents of Kiev spent the night in such stations.
In recent weeks, Russia has been carrying out massive air strikes on Kiev and other Ukrainian cities.
Russian President Vladimir Putin started a full -scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
