Gravind Smart Blinds: One-minute review
Gravind provides a variety of smart blinds, including zebra, panel track, vertical, ventian and wood blinds. He also has a variety of smart shades, including roller, Roman, cellular, dual and more. They also have smart curtains. Within each category, you can choose from the selection of size, clothing and colors.
Then you choose your motor with five options: Eve Apple Homcomit motor, rechargeable bleed RF motor, Zigby Alexa Motor, Matter Smart Motor, or Hardwide WiFi motor. I selected Zebra Blinds and Eve Apple Homcit motor, as I am using my iPhone and homepod to control blinds.
I cannot say that it was easy to get and run gravind smart blinds. The screws for installation were not great quality, which meant that they were easily snatched away. The setup was also a bit difficult. Still, I managed to lift and run everything. Once completed, the blind acts as expected. You can set scenes or automation that allow you to open and close your selection schedule or position. You can also control blind by using your smartphone, voice or just your hands.
Gravind Smart Blinds: Price and Availability
- The initial price is relatively affordable
- Can get price with indigestion
- Custom Fit for many sizes
You can order gravind smart shades, curtains and blinds directly from the Gravind website or you can buy them HeroicPrices begin at $ 109.99 (£ 82.04/169.88 AUD.). I selected Zebra Blinds in Charcoal Blackout Fabric and Eve Apple Homcit Motor. I also added a solar panel and an additional long wall charging cable. In size and style you see in my photos $ 276.99 (£ 206.59/427.97 AUD) go to each. If you want blinds fit correctly, it is important to measure your windows carefully. I chose the outer mount style and made my measurement accordingly.
Gravind Smart Blinds: Design
- Hard installation and setup
- Goes smoothly and quietly up and down
- Blind solar panels can get stuck in charging cable
You will need to do a lot of work to install gravind smart blinds and access to a drill. You will also need to be patient and careful, as the shrimp involved is soft and strip is quite easily.
Note that if you are charging blinds through solar charger, the blind can very easily get entangled with the charging cord. I am around the issue that is not open 100%blind. But I should not do this.
Once you are installed and charged through a solar panel or wall charger, you are ready to set them with your smartphone. I ordered two sets of the same blind for the windows next to each other; I was able to set the first one using only the home app on my iPhone.
For some reason, I was not able to set a second set in this way. I had to download the Eve app on my iPhone and set it there. Once this happened, I was able to control both sets of blinds through the house or Eve app.
There is also a bridge cord that you can use for manual operation, if you want. A tug on the bridge cord becomes blind walking in one direction, a second tug stops them, and a third tug moves them in the other direction.
Are these the most beautiful blinds that I have ever seen? No, and ‘clothes’ is plastic. But they look fine, and they do what they do.
Gravind Smart Blinds: Performance
- So many different methods can be controlled
- Use with Google, Amazon or Apple
- The opening and closing mechanism works beautifully
As mentioned above, there are five different types of motors, so you would like to make your selection carefully. I chose Eve Apple Homcit Motor, as I have both an iPhone and a homepod. But you can also choose the Ble RF motor (works directly with the gravind app via Bluetooth, no bridge is needed), hardweed wifi motor (no bridge needed), zigby alexa motor, or a case smart motor (which allows using Alexa, Google, Homcut, or smarting). A wide guide on the site can help you choose the right choice for your home if you are not sure.
As mentioned above, I was able to install a blind only using the Apple Home App; I had to use the Eve app to install the other. Another small blip was that one of the blinds wanted to roll out wrongly, but I was able to fix it by troubleshooting with the owner’s manual.
Once you become blind, it becomes easy to control them. You can use your smartphone and tap to choose how open them you want, down to an accurate percentage. You can also use cord to control them. If you do not like the look of the cord and you are not going to use it, you can easily remove it.
You can also set scenes and automation, so that your blinds open and close at specific time or in specific situations of your selection. For example, you can open blinds at sunrise and stop at sunset. Or, when you can open your blind when you say, “Good morning!” And when you say, stop, “Good night!” Or when you reach home and reach home, they automatically close them. I set my set to open and close for a specific percentage at just a specific time. But there are endless ways that you can set them. I tried many different ways and they all worked a lot.

How I tested Gravind Smart Blinds
I put gravind smart blind in two bedroom windows. I tested the blind in many different ways. I opened and closed and closed using the Apple Home app, Eve app, and control center on my iPhone, using a homepod mini both at home and as a hub away from home. I asked Siri to open and close the blinds. I established an automation to open blinds a certain percentage at 8:00 pm and closed them at 9:00 pm each day. I also used manual cord to open and close blinds.
