India Meteorological Department, Shimla is expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall in Mandi district from July 5 to July 9. Especially from July 6 to July 7 to July 7 afternoon, there has been a warning warning to remain the most intense rainfall. Red alert has been declared for this period. The department has also predicted lightning in some areas and extremely heavy rainfall. On July 5, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected, while Orange Alert has been issued for 7 and 8 July. On July 9, the weather conditions are likely to remain sensitive.
District Disaster Management Authority Chairman and DC Mandi Apoorva Devgan has appealed to the citizens to be very cautious. He has said that people do not unnecessarily go near rivers, drains, and landslides possible areas. In any emergency, immediately contact the nearest administrative officer or control room.
He has urged the local people and tourists to get the weather information before the journey and follow the guidelines issued by the administration. The district administration is alert to deal with every situation. On the other hand, former CM Jairam Thakur has demanded additional assistance from the Center for Saraj.
At the same time, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that 69 people have died and 37 people are missing since June 20 in the state. The Chief Minister has spoken to Home Minister Amit Shah and has assured all possible help. The Chief Minister said that the central team is coming to take stock of the loss. He said that the incident of so much cloudburst together is worrying and it is being studied. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that at present 280 roads are closed, electricity service and 784 water supply are interrupted at 332 places. The Himachal Pradesh government will provide all possible help to the disaster affected people.

After the disaster in Gohar in Mandi district, the work of providing relief to the affected people is going on continuously. Acting SDM Gohar Smritika Negi said that according to the instructions of the state government, a relief amount of Rs 7 lakh has been distributed to the affected people so far. He informed that about 350 tarpaulin, 45 blankets and 75 ration kits have been distributed by the administration to the affected families. He said that about 36 families of sub -division Gohar have been affected by this natural disaster. The power system disrupted in the area from the disaster in the subdivision has been restored in most areas. About 144 transformers in the area were closed due to disaster, out of which 74 have been re -fixed and the electrical system has been restored. About 7 km long lines have been restored from the damaged lines due to the disaster.
